Welcome to my Psychotherapy Practice
There are times in life when we feel out of step – when something within us feels unsettled or our connection to others seems distant or strained. In these moments, it can be valuable to pause and reflect.
In my practice, I offer a safe and respectful space to explore what’s moving you – at your own pace, with openness and care.
I work with a psychodynamic approach, offering individual, couples, and group therapy that is culturally sensitive and grounded in your personal history. Sessions are available in English or German, in Berlin-Wilmersdorf or online.

Therapy Process
1. Kontaktaufnahme & Terminvereinbarung
You can contact me via email or book your appointment online. I offer individual, couple, and group therapy for private payers and clients with private insurance.
2. Erstgespräch (Anamnese & Orientierung)
The first session (50 minutes) gives us the opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your current situation, therapeutic goals, and any previous experience with therapy. As a psychodynamic therapist, I also listen to what may be expressed between the lines – recurring emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and underlying psychological conflicts.
3. Introductory Therapy and Diagnostic Phase
Up to four additional trial sessions offer space for diagnostic clarification and mutual decision-making. Together, we explore whether the therapeutic relationship feels safe and appropriate, and whether psychodynamic therapy is the right approach for you.
4. Starting Therapy
If we agree to work together, we define the structure of the therapy – including goals, frequency, and format. Psychodynamic therapy aims to bring unconscious material into awareness, helping you understand the emotional roots of current difficulties and open pathways to change.
I’d be glad to walk this path with you.
Therapy Approach
Akkordeon Inhalt
There are moments in life when we sense that things can’t go on as they are.
Exhaustion, inner emptiness, persistent worries, or painful relationship patterns may signal that something deeper needs attention. Even without knowing exactly what’s wrong, the desire for change is often clear.
Common issues clients bring to therapy include:
- Persistent exhaustion, withdrawal, or feelings of emptiness
- Anxiety, chronic tension, or racing thoughts
- Physical symptoms without a clear medical cause (e.g. insomnia, digestive problems, chronic pain)
- Repeating patterns in relationships — with partners, family, or colleaguesinnen, Familie oder Kolleginnen
- Difficulty with closeness or setting boundaries
- Shame, self-doubt, or feeling “not enough”
- Past experiences that continue to shape the present
In therapy, we take time to explore these patterns together. The goal is not simply to remove symptoms, but to understand what they express — and to discover what new clarity, relief, and transformation might become possible.
I offer a safe, respectful space to support this process — in English or German, in my Berlin-Wilmersdorf practice or online.
Groups reflect the very dynamics we experience in everyday life: closeness, distance, uncertainty, longing, and fear of connection. In psychodynamic group therapy, we use this setting to explore relational patterns, emotional responses, and new ways of relating. In a closed group, you meet others who, like you, are seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional stability, and genuine connection.
In the group, you might explore:
- how you tend to relate to others or distance yourself
- what certain interactions bring up emotionally
- how your needs and boundaries take shape in contact
- what it’s like to be seen, heard, and reflected by others
The group provides a unique space for growth and healing. Through open exchange, new perspectives and emotional resonance can emerge.
Groups include up to 9 participants and meet in a closed format. A preliminary conversation helps clarify whether this setting fits your needs. I facilitate groups with care, attentiveness, and a focus on what unfolds between members.
Racism, discrimination, and intersectional stressors leave marks — also on a psychological level. In BIPoC+ sensitive therapy, your experiences as a Black person, Person of Color, or someone with multiple marginalized identities are recognized and accompanied — not questioned or minimized. This is not about adapting to norms, but about reconnecting with yourself in the midst of social realities that shape identity, belonging, safety, and self-worth. I work psychodynamically, with a culturally sensitive and anti-racist approach. Your lived reality is not on the margins of therapy — it is central to the therapeutic process.
Common themes in this setting include:
- Emotional distress linked to racism and exclusion
- Feelings of alienation or not belonging
- Intergenerational trauma and inherited burdens
- Chronic stress from daily discrimination
- Conflicts between cultural background and current life context
- Questions of empowerment, self-care, and emotional safety
This form of therapy offers a space where your experiences are seen — not despite your story, but with it.
Every relationship undergoes through phases of closeness and connection — but also periods of distance, misunderstanding, or silence. Recurring conflicts, withdrawal, or emotional uncertainty may arise. Life changes, unfulfilled wishes, family stress, or questions around sexuality can challenge a partnership. In couples therapy, I offer a protected space where you can reconnect — with openness, honesty, and a non-judgmental view of what is unfolding between you. The goal is not to assign blame, but to better understand what has changed — and what might change going forward.
Regular topics in couples therapy include:
- Ongoing arguments or escalating conflict
- Emotional distance or feeling disconnected
- Communication breakdowns
- Mismatched sexual needs or dissatisfaction
- Broken trust (e.g. affairs or secrecy)
- Life transitions such as parenthood, illness, or career stress
- Uncertainty or ambivalence about staying together
Therapy can help identify stuck patterns, name emotional wounds, and support the development of new ways of relating — whether you continue as a couple or choose to part with respect. Individual sessions are also possible, especially if one partner is not ready to join, or you wish to reflect on your relationship on your own.
Session frequency and duration are tailored to your needs.
Sexuality is a vital and deeply personal part of life. It can bring joy, closeness, and intimacy — but also uncertainty, pressure, or conflict. Many people experience phases when their sexual life feels confusing or distressing — alone or in partnership. In my Berlin-Wilmersdorf practice, I offer sex therapy for individuals and couples in a safe, non-judgmental space. The focus is not on what is “right” or “wrong,” but on understanding your experience and exploring it with care.
Regular topics in sex therapy include:
- Low desire or lack of interest in sex
- Differing needs between partners
- Pain during sex (e.g. vaginismus, dyspareunia)
- Erectile difficulties or premature ejaculation
- Shame, insecurity, or negative body image
- Sexuality after childbirth, illness, or trauma
- Questions of orientation, identity, or relationship styles
- Cultural or religious influences on sexual self-perception
My work is psychodynamically grounded and culturally sensitive, with attention to biography, relational patterns, and societal expectations that shape sexual experience. Sex therapy can take place individually or as a couple — even beyond specific dysfunctions. Sometimes, it’s about rediscovering intimacy, deepening self-awareness, or finding a new language for connection.
Sessions are available in English or German, in person or online. Frequency and duration are adapted to your needs.
Gain clarity. Explore new perspectives. Navigate decisions.
At certain points, life can feel overwhelming — whether in your personal life, relationships, or career. You may be facing a difficult decision, dealing with conflict or loss, or simply feeling stuck. Counseling and coaching offer a focused, respectful space to reflect, sort through emotions, and find direction — structured, supportive, and solution-oriented. Unlike psychotherapy, this is not about treating mental health disorders, but about navigating life transitions, challenges, and inner change.
Regular topics include:
- Making important personal or professional decisions
- Interpersonal conflict and emotional strain
- Feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself
- Life transitions such as separation, relocation, or new roles
- A desire to better understand yourself and realign internally
Counseling is time-limited and focused on your current concerns. It supports clarity and resilience — at your pace, with professional guidance.
Sessions are available in English or German, in Berlin-Wilmersdorf or online.
Fees
Akkordeon Inhalt
If you are privately insured in Germany, you will receive an invoice which you can submit to your private health insurance provider. In most cases, outpatient psychotherapy is reimbursed at least in part. However, the exact coverage and reimbursement procedures depend on the details of your individual policy.
Before starting therapy, it’s helpful to clarify the following with your provider:
- How much is reimbursed per session?
- Are any application forms or prior approvals required?
- Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered?
Fees are based on the German Schedule of Fees for Psychotherapists (GOP).
A depth psychology-based individual session (50 minutes) is charged at 134.00 €.
Please note: Full reimbursement is not guaranteed in every case.
If you are eligible for Beihilfe (e.g. as a civil servant), the cost of outpatient psychotherapy is typically partially reimbursed through your aid office. Reimbursement is based on the GOP (German fee schedule).
Before starting therapy, please contact your Beihilfestelle to find out:
- Which forms you need to submit
- How many sessions are covered without prior approval (typically up to five trial sessions)
- What documents are required for ongoing treatment approval
Once approved, you can submit my invoices for reimbursement. Please note: Beihilfe usually does not cover the full fee, and the difference may need to be paid out of pocket or covered by supplementary insurance.
You are also welcome to pay for therapy privately, without involving insurance. This offers maximum confidentiality: no diagnosis is recorded, no data is shared with third parties, and you remain fully flexible in how we structure the work together.
Fees follow the official GOP:
A 50-minute individual session costs €134.00.
In couples or sexuality therapy, we work together on themes such as connection, communication, intimacy, and recurring conflicts. Session frequency and duration are tailored to your needs and goals.
Fees::
- 190,00 € (60 minutes)
- 140.00 € for individual sessions in the context of couple/sexual therapy (50 minutes)
Longer sessions (e.g. 90 or 100 minutes) can be arranged as needed.
Please note: These sessions are not reimbursed by statutory or private health insurance and are billed as private services.
Group therapy takes place weekly in a closed group of up to 9 participants. Each session lasts 90 minutes.
- Fee: 90.00 € per session (self-pay)
In some cases, private insurers or Beihilfe may reimburse part or all of the cost. Please check with your provider in advance.
Please note that my practice is a private practice. Therefore, billing via the statutory health insurance (GKV) is not possible.
If you are covered by statutory health insurance and are looking for a therapy spot within the public healthcare system, you can find further information and a list of licensed psychotherapists in your area at:
Further information and an overview of psychotherapists licensed by health insurance companies in your area.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please cancel at least 48 hours (2 working days) in advance. In this case, no fee is charged. Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur a fee of 100,00 €, as the time cannot be offered to someone else on short notice. This applies to all appointments, including the initial session.
Tax Deductibility: In many cases, therapy costs can be claimed as a medical expense in your German tax return even when sessions are paid privately (see Finance Court Münster, Ref. 3 K 285/02 E).
On request, I’m happy to provide a confirmation for tax purposes without any reference to diagnosis. In many situations, psychological counselling costs are also deductible.
*Additional costs for diagnostics may be incurred.

About me
I am a licensed psychological psychotherapist with my own private practice in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. I work in depth psychology with adult patients who are going through stressful phases in their lives or who want to understand themselves on a deeper level.
People attend therapy for many different reasons. Some experience clear symptoms such as exhaustion, anxiety, or inner restlessness. Others feel something is “off” without knowing exactly what — a sense of emptiness, disorientation, or recurring patterns in relationships. Some have previous therapy experience, while others are taking this step for the first time.
I offer a space to look inward — with time, clarity, and respect for your individual story. My psychodynamic approach is based on the understanding that present difficulties often stem from earlier relational experiences and unresolved inner conflicts.
A central focus of my work is intercultural and BIPoC+ sensitive psychotherapy. I work with awareness of the cultural, social, and biographical contexts that shape psychological experience — especially where these are relevant to your therapeutic process.
In my practice, you’ll find a protected space where everything you bring is welcome — at your own pace, in your own way. Of course, I am bound by professional confidentiality.
I offer individual, couples, and group therapy — in English or German, in Berlin-Wilmersdorf or online.
I look forward to meeting you and walking a part of your path together.
